Highly recommended Praise and Worship books for Everyone
The Practice of the Presence of God
Brother Lawrence's letters and conversations were put into the book The Practice of the Presence of God, which presents his quest to fellowship with God in every moment of each day, as much as possible.
It seems Brother Lawrence felt the best way to continually stay close to God
was for his motive to be that everything he did to be purely for the love of God.
His motive to do things was not to get help or blessings from God.
Many consider the book a Christian classic.
Brother Lawrence was a lay brother at a Catholic monestary in the 1600's in France. The book is popular with Catholics and Protestants. It was recommended by John Wesley and A. W. Tozer.

One of the best modern English versions (and is also Free online) of
The Practice the Presence of God book is written by Light Heart.
Light Heart's website ( www.PracticeGodsPresence.com ) has information about Brother Lawrence that Jim Johnson (the editor of the book below) adapted and used in his (Johnson) thoughts about Brother Lawrence in his (Johnson) book.

Letters by a Modern Mystic are letters that Frank C. Laubach (1897-1970), a Christian missionary in the Philippines, wrote to his father around 1930.
The letters conveyed to his father his experiment to fill every moment of every day full of the thought of God.
The book includes a section called, "The Game With Minutes" (31 pages).
The font size, which is around 9 point Times New Roman, may be too small for some people to read.
2007 copyright, 136 pages, hardcover (very small) (6.3 x 4.3 x 0.5 inches), ISBN-13: 9781583310915

The Purpose of Man: Designed to Worship are messages by A. W. Tozer (1897-1963). The book was compiled and edited by James L. Snyder.
A. W. Tozer explains that the purpose of man is to worship God according to His way, not ours.
I think almost everyone should read this book to see what their purpose in life is.
Those who may find it hard to follow what Tozer is writing are those who do not at least have heard preaching or read about all
the major stories in the Bible and the major doctrines of the Bible. This is because Tozer is writing to Christians who have a level of understanding of the teachings in the Bible.

The New King James Version (NJKV) of the Holy Bible
is the one that I currently like the best
I really like the
New King James Version (NKJV) Giant-Print Bonded-Leather Reference Holy Bible .
This particular Bible is no longer manufactured, but some retailers on the Web sell new ones.

Another NKJV Giant-Print Reference Holy Bible (imitation leather)
A similar Bible to the one I have is the New King James Version (NKJV) Giant-Print Reference Holy Bible (Nelson Burgundy) by Thomas Nelson Publishers
that has a Bible cover what they call "Leathersoft," which I have never used so I don't if it's better, the same or not as good as bonded leather. A Stormcloud Leathersoft (grayish) will be available on October 12, 2010.

Alibris: Click here to purchase the NJKV Giant-Print Reference Bible (Nelson Burgundy) .
It is a Leathersoft (imitation leather) Bible.
NKJV bonded-leather Bibles
Thomas Nelson Publishers also has NKJV bonded-leather Bibles, but they are bigger
than the ones mentioned above because they are study Bibles. The study Bibles have more information and more pages, so they are bigger and heavier.
Extra large Bible cover
The NKJV that I have is pretty big, so finding an inexpensive Bible cover to put it in for protection is not always easy to find.
For my Bible, I bought the Bible Cover - Microfiber with fish, XLG-Black (item: 24782) by Swanson from DeeperShopping.com . (XLarge is about 8" x 11" x 2 1/2")
(For similar Bible covers try keywords: bible cover Swanson extra large)
from DeeperShopping.com .
