Highly recommended Praise and Worship books for Everyone
The Practice of the Presence of God
Brother Lawrence's letters and conversations were put into the book The Practice of the Presence of God, which presents his quest to fellowship with God in every moment of each day, as much as possible.
It seems Brother Lawrence felt the best way to continually stay close to God
was for his motive to be that everything he did to be purely for the love of God.
His motive to do things was not to get help or blessings from God.
Many consider the book a Christian classic.
Brother Lawrence was a lay brother at a Catholic monestary in the 1600's in France. The book is popular with Catholics and Protestants. It was recommended by John Wesley and A. W. Tozer.

Letters by a Modern Mystic are letters that Frank C. Laubach (1897-1970), a Christian missionary in the Philippines, wrote to his father around 1930.
The letters conveyed to his father his experiment to fill every moment of every day full of the thought of God.
The book includes a section called, "The Game With Minutes" (31 pages).
The font size, which is around 9 point Times New Roman, may be too small for some people to read.

The Purpose of Man: Designed to Worship are messages by A. W. Tozer (1897-1963). The book was compiled and edited by James L. Snyder.
A. W. Tozer explains that the purpose of man is to worship God according to His way, not ours.
I think almost everyone should read this book to see what their purpose in life is.
Those who may find it hard to follow what Tozer is writing are those who do not at least have heard preaching or read about all
the major stories in the Bible and the major doctrines of the Bible. This is because Tozer is writing to Christians who have a level of understanding of the teachings in the Bible.

Information concerning some of My Current Favorite Praise and Worship Songs
Sung TO God
My current favorite worship songs are, typically, songs that are sung To God giving Him praise and worship, and not so much asking for Him help and so on.
I think there are probably thousands of songs with great lyrics and music that are sung About God, but there are not as many good songs that are sung To God.
I usually prefer to sing songs To God instead of singing songs About God. I have put together the list below because it is harder to find good songs where one is singing TO God than it is to find good songs where one is of telling others of how great God is.
Of course, one of the most important things about a song is great lyrics that state truth in interesting and powerful ways.
The songs below start from the most-recent copyrighted ones.
Worship leaders can look through the lists below to see if there are any songs they are not aware of or to remind them of a song they can use again.
Below are some of my biases.
Since I'm the assistant worship leader in our church, I always am looking for songs that can be sung by the congregation. This means the songs can't be too complicated, rythmically. Also, melodies of the songs must not have too great a range between the lowest and highest notes.
I like good, slow worship songs, but most of the times I listen to my audio files when I’m driving. In that situation I like praise and worship songs that are energetic, so that's the kind of songs I'm always on the lookout for.
I usually prefer “piano songs” – songs that have more than 3 chords – I like some variety and some complexity (in chords and chord progressions). I play both the piano and guitar, but for me, most “complex” chords are easier to play on the piano than on the guitar.
I usually prefer songs that don't repeat words or phrases too much. The button for each song, usually, goes directly to the author's version of the song or the version of the song of the artist or group noted.

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) provides a way for churches, ministries and so on to legally use over 200,000 songs.
There are lists of the top 25 praise and worship songs gleaned from their 6-month reporting periods as reported by churches and organizations. (Various reporting periods can be selected.)
If your church pays the annual fee for the Church Copyright License, there is no limit -- for congregational singing -- on how many copies of song lyrics you can make for overhead transparencies, computer projection, customized songbooks and so on.
The annual fee for the Church Copyright License depends on the size of your congregation.
